About My Professional Therapy Experiences:
I received my MSW from UCLA and my BA from UT Austin. I have over a decade of experience working with individuals in a variety of settings, including Cedars-Sinai, Occidental College, LA based community mental health clinics and emergency shelters. In addition to my direct clinical work I am passionate about supporting new clinicians on their journey and provide both individual and group clinical supervision to new therapists.
Specializations and Interests
My background includes extensive training in trauma specific interventions, including EMDR. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for those interested in gaining concrete tools and strategies to manage distress.
I am influenced by Attachment Theory, Polyvagal theory and IFS and incorporate this into my work with clients.
In my work I am forever curious and integrating new updates related to neurobiology, intergenerational trauma, epigenetics and the role of nature in healing our mental health. I believe in honoring the connection between mind and body.
I have worked with individuals and couples experiencing a variety of issues including:
Grief and Loss
Isolation or Loneliness
Breaking negative patterns
Family members of those experiencing chronic mental illness or substance abuse
Creative blocks or stress related to the ups and downs of a creative career
I work with clients via telehealth and in person. Most of my clients live in the North East Los Angeles (Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Atwater Village, Highland Park, Eagle Rock), Glendale or Pasadena region but I can see anyone in California virtually.
